RES has developed a mix of learning materials to help our customers and channel partners get the most out from our products. Our goal is to give you choice in how you learn whether it's in the classroom, online tutorials and virtual workshops, or downloading our new self-study kits. RES Academy

RES Academy provides an engaging way to learn about RES ONE Workspace, RES ONE Automation, and other RES products and technologies. It consists of short video tutorials, including practice questions, informative links and more. You can start today by signing up for an online learning account. This allows you to track your progress, be informed about any new or updated videos, and learn how to use the products. It’s easy and it's free.

Workshops

For customers and partners RES organizes free interactive online workshops. These one-hour events are intended for experienced users of our software and will deal with specific use cases and troubleshooting. Due to the interactive nature of these workshops, the number of seats per session is limited.

The RES ONE Automation 2015 Basic Course (ROABC-700) is a three-day course that provides comprehensive training for administrators on the installation, set up and use of RES ONE Automation Manager 2015, from planning your environment to Task Automation and Resource Provisioning. This course is for administrators who perform computer management with RES ONE Automation in Microsoft Windows environments.

Duration: 3 days

The RES ONE Workspace 2015 Basic Course (ROWBC-700) is a four to five-day course that provides comprehensive training for administrators on the installation, set up and use of RES ONE Workspace 2015, from planning your environment to personalizing it. It is for administrators who perform workspace management with RES ONE Workspace in Microsoft Windows environments.

Duration Guidelines: 4 to 5 days

RES ONE Service Store 2015 Basic Course (ROSSBC-700)

The RES ONE Service Store 2015 Basic Course (ROSSBC-700) is a three-day course that provides comprehensive training for administrators on the installation, configuration and use of RES ONE Service Store. It does not provide training on designing business processes. It is for administrators who perform computer management with RES ONE Automation in Microsoft Windows environments and who want to learn how they can implement self-servicing and automatic service delivery in their organization.

Duration: 3 days

Fast Tracks

RES Fast Tracks are designed to enable partners and implementation specialist to quickly gain knowledge on the delivery of RES ONE Suite solutions.  RES Fast Tracks are one to two day courses, designed to allow the attendees to focus on specific product capabilities that enable the target solution.  RES Fast tracks, together with the full product training offerings, allow attendees to acquire significant technical knowledge of related products that they can leverage to attain future RES product certifications.

FAST TRACK: ROW in non-persistent VDI environments

Overview

This course provides students an accelerated path to obtain the skills required to successfully deploy and support a complete RES ONE Workspace solution in a Windows 7 or Windows 10 non-persistent, Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) environment. Throughout this course, students will learn how to configure an environment that includes the following RES ONE Workspace components: Management Console, RES ONE Workspace Datastore (database), Relay Server, agent and the RES ONE Workspace Composer. 

Upon course completion, students will be able to build a RES ONE Workspace environment from scratch, test the implementation to ensure that all components work as expected, and successfully manage, monitor, and troubleshoot a RES ONE Workspace solution in a non-persistent VDI environment.

Key skills

Upon course completion, students will be able to:

  • Understand the RES ONE Workspace architecture, components, and communication
  • Set up the console and create the datastore
  • Set up and configure the Relay Server Service
  • Deploy RES ONE Workspace agents for Windows 7 / 10
  • Set up and configure a fully managed user session in VDI including:

Who should attend this course?

This course is recommended for Engineers, Consultants, and Architects. Students will gain hands-on experience installing, configuring, and managing a non-persistent VDI running Windows 7 / 10 with RES ONE Workspace.  Upon completion of the course, students will have the skills required to successfully deploy and support RES ONE Workspace in a non-persistent VDI solution. This class is designed for a maximum of 10 persons in order to maintain a reasonable pace and to insure that the instructor has time to monitor each student during hands on lab.

Overview

Throughout this course, students will learn how to configure an environment that includes the following:

Who should attend this course?

This course is recommended for Architects, Consultants, and Engineers. Students will gain hands-on experience installing, configuring, and managing a RES ONE Service Store deployment focusing on onboarding and off-boarding users in a Microsoft Windows Domain.  Upon completion of the course, students will have the skills required to successfully deploy and support a RES ONE Service Store environment and be able to create and delete users in an Active Directory Domain.

This class is designed for a maximum of 10 persons in order to maintain a reasonable pace and to insure that the instructor has time to monitor each student during hands on lab.

RES software certification

RES offers a certification program designed to validate IT professionals with the technical capabilities and expertise needed to effectively use the RES product portfolio, giving companies the confidence that their IT employees have the skills and experience needed to be successful.

Validity

Product certifications are version based and do not expire. For RES partners certifications used to obtain a specific partner level should always be the most recent available. A product certification for a partner level expires nine months after the release of a new exam.

Exam preparation

Although training is not mandatory, RES strongly advises participation in the appropriate course coupled with hands-on experience before scheduling any RES exam. See our Training Page for additional information on the available RES courses.

RACP 2016 | RES ONE Automation 2016 Certified Professional. You achieve this certification by passing the RES ONE Automation 2016 Exam (ROAX 2016). This certification is version based and does not expire.

RSCP 2016 | RES ONE Service Store 2016 Certified Professional. You achieve this certification by passing the RES ONE Service Store 2016 Exam (ROSSX 2016). Note that the ROAX 2016 certification is a prerequisite for taking this exam. This certification is version based and does not expire.

RWCP 2016 | RES ONE Workspace 2016 Certified Professional. You achieve this certification by passing the RES ONE Workspace 2016 Exam (ROWX-2016). This certification is version based and does not expire.

Combined certifications

RCE | RES Certified Expert You achieve this certification if you pass the most recent RES ONE Workspace, RES ONE Automation and RES ONE Service Store exams. This certification expires nine months after new RES ONE exams are released.

RCT | RES Certified Trainer. This certification is intended for RES partners who teach the RES ONE products. You achieve this certification if you are a RES Certified Expert (RCE) and attend the RES Train the Trainer course (RT3). This certification expires nine months after new RES ONE exams are released.
