Training

RES has developed a mix of learning materials to help our customers and channel partners get the most out from our products. Our goal is to give you choice in how you learn whether it's in the classroom, online tutorials and virtual workshops, or downloading our new self-study kits. We will continue to update and evolve the learning materials, so do come back and visit this page for the latest information.

RES Academy

It consists of short video tutorials, including practice questions, informative links and more. You can start today by signing up for an online learning account. This allows you to track your progress, be informed about any new or updated videos, and learn how to use the products. It’s easy and it's free.

Workshops

For customers and partners RES organizes free interactive online workshops. These one-hour events are intended for experienced users of our software and will deal with specific use cases and troubleshooting. Due to the interactive nature of these workshops, the number of seats per session is limited.

Validity

Product certifications are version based and do not expire. For RES partners certifications used to obtain a specific partner level should always be the most recent available. A product certification for a partner level expires nine months after the release of a new exam.

Exam preparation

Although training is not mandatory, RES strongly advises participation in the appropriate course coupled with hands-on experience before scheduling any RES exam. See our Training Page for additional information on the available RES courses.

To prepare for an exam, please consult the Exam Preparation Guides that are available for download at the RES Success Center.

Testing Center Availability

In the first half of 2015 Prometric has been deploying its ‘Prometric Premier Network’ model. This model features a substantially lower number of physical testing centers available worldwide, but should increase security, improve technical support and offer more reliable candidate scheduling.

Though Prometric guarantees test center availability within a reasonable amount of traveling time (within a hundred miles distance), worldwide availability of our exams and ease of testing is of the utmost importance to us. We are therefore currently looking into additional methods of examination.

Should you have any questions or concerns regarding exam scheduling that are not answered in the FAQ below, please contact RES Education directly.

FAQs

Q: Where can I find an overview of all available Prometric testing centers?

A: Finding a test center is closely linked with scheduling an exam. Not all exams are offered at all centers, so in order to find a center near you, you must first indicate what exam you are interested in taking. From there, click "Get Started." Follow the instructions on the screen as it walks you through the process of finding a center and scheduling your exam. Even if you're not ready to actually schedule your exam yet, you'll still need to walk through the on screen steps until you get to the part where you find a test center - if at that point you're not ready to actually schedule, simply close out of the page.

Q: There is no test center within a reasonable amount of traveling time from my location. What should I do?

A: Please contact RES Education directly to resolve the issue.

Q: I have scheduled an exam at a test center location that has been closed. What Should I do?

A: Should this happen, Prometric will make every effort to contact you by e-mail and by telephone, so please ensure that the contact information you provide during the scheduling and registration process is accurate. You will be contacted by the Prometric rescheduling department within 48-72 hours to reschedule your appointment. Should this not be the case, please contact RES Education directly to resolve the issue.
